That said, Mr. Abrams a bad job did NOT do - no...

Mr. Abrams a GOOD job did

The opening scene especially was/is stupendous, very hypnotic, very suggestive, very clever, brilliant

and it's all downhill from there... no, just kidding, it's good, it's a good movie go see it, touching, moving, emotional, it has a certain atmosphere, a certain 'I don't know what' as the french would say (and do)
